The lounge at The Tonic with curtains drawn back to the courtyard
INTRODUCTION

A Stay With Strong Opinions

Restraint was never the brief here.

The colour arrives before you do - a batten wall that holds the afternoon light, a starburst that throws it back, a checkerboard floor with no business being that good.

Ground floor, with the courtyard through the glass.

THE STORY

Made For A Daughter With A Flair For Drama

The second of the two I kept. This one I made with my other daughter in mind.

A vibrant city soul. An actress living in New York, with an energy that fills a room before she does. The colours here were chosen to match it.

Teal ceilings, walnut battens, a starburst mirror, and a master bedroom enveloped in teal. The mustard chair is pure drama and pure cheerfulness, which is the whole point of the room.
